This is a great Longines manual wind watch, dating from the late 1940s.
Longines were one of the top watchmakers during the 20th century, this is a classic example of the kind of watches which built their reputation. The dial is wonderfully elegant, with classic roman numerals and a sub second dial. The English-made Dennison stainless steel case is unfussy and well proportioned and the movement inside the watch is a thing of unexpected beauty!
The watch would originally have been for a gentleman, but at 30mm it’s probably more suitable for a lady according to contemporary tastes.
The movement has been fully serviced and the timekeeping is excellent. The case has been ultrasonically cleaned, but as with all out vintage watches we have left it unpolished. The crystal has been polished and the watch has been fitted with a new, Hirsch leather strap. The watch comes with our standard 12 month guarantee.
