Things to do with your spare time this Christmas
We know the festive period won’t be the same for many of us this year but with extra time at home on our hands, we wanted to recommend some things to do in your spare time this Christmas.
1) Build a gingerbread house
This Christmas classic will have you putting your architectural skills to good use, if you’re a beginner a kit may be perfect for you, but if you’re feeling brave making one from scratch could be a fun challenge this year.
2) Watch a film
Although by this point in 2020 most of us have exhausted all of the options on Netflix, the festive season is the perfect excuse for films in front of the fire whilst enjoying a mince pie. Whether it’s Elf or Home Alone a Christmas film will be sure to bring some festive cheer.
3) Make mulled wine
Since many of us can’t go to the pub this year it's a great opportunity to perfect your mulled wine recipe, if you don’t already have one you can find one here.
Your house will be filled with Christmas flavours and you could even drop one around to a neighbour for a chat on the doorstep.
4) Create a Christmas quiz
A quiz is the perfect source of home-style entertainment, even if you’re seeing your family over zoom this Christmas it’s a great way to have some friendly competition.
5) Craft your own crackers
Do you fancy something more interesting than the novelty gifts in your standard Christmas cracker? Making your own is a great way to inject your own creativity into your table set-up this year.
This also adds a personal touch by tailoring your individual crackers to your family members, there has to be an extra joke in there for dad right?
6) Create your own wreath
Could your front door do with a festive touch? Creating your own wreath is a festive activity the whole family can join in with, put some Christmas songs on in the background and you’ll be having a great time getting crafty.
7) Go for a long walk
Putting your wellies on and going for long walk is a lovely way to enjoy a frosty morning, you could even invite a friend and take some of your home-made mulled wine with you!
However you spend your festive period this year we hope it’s safe and relaxing for you and your family!
Are there any festive activities that you could add to our list?
