About the Artist: Jacqueline Colley

Jacqueline portrait

Jacqueline describes her inspiration for the Continuum watch:

"I’ve always been a sci-fi geek - growing up on Mars Attacks! and The Fifth Element, I was drawn to that kitschy, vibrant side of space.

This design is a love letter to retro-futurism: with bold graphics, candy colours, and that sense that in space, there’s no such thing as up or down.

There’s something magical about how space bends time and perspective, and I wanted to reflect that playful weirdness; a pop culture galaxy where anything goes."

Jacqueline Colley

Jacqueline Colley is an award-winning illustrator and pattern designer based in East London, recognised for her distinctive colour palette of pastels and bright tones.

Her work transforms everyday objects, like tea and orange juice - into playful illustrations full of optimism. Combining hand-drawn typography with graphic elements, her illustrations capture a sense of curiosity and delight in the little things.

Inspired by mid-century ephemera, vintage typography, and bold colour combinations, Jacqueline’s work often takes the form of detailed, explorable scenes - like her illustrated take on pop culture in New York City. Her designs invite viewers to slow down and take a closer look.
