Covent Garden Summer Street Party
A few weeks ago we were delighted to have taken part in the Covent Garden Summer Street Party - which meant discounts, free t-shirts, sausage dog-shaped biscuits and most unexpectedly for British Summertime… sun!
It was actually one of our busiest days in the shop this year, and what’s better is getting to meet all of you!
Prepping for the event was a wonderful, collaborative experience bringing different parts of the company together to come up with ideas for decorations, t-shirt designs and lots of other fun stuff!
Our Assistant Shop Supervisor, Jessie, was tasked with designing the event t-shirts with help from Crispin, who suggested a long Stanley illustration spread out across four t-shirts spelling out ‘Summer Street Party’.
Albeit, it took a lot of trial and error trying to get the perfect team picture of the t-shirts in alignment. Luis had to strain and crouch, while Chloe had to try and stay steady on her tiptoes so everyone was the same height! We got there in the end though, and the outcome was brilliant.
Our customer service team worked extra hard to print all of the t-shirts for the day on such short notice, so shout out to them!
It doesn’t end there. Yousra, one of our talented Assembly Technicians actually made the sausage dog cookies herself! They were even decorated to look like the MJW Dachshunds, Stanley, Woody, Neville and Chester.
They went down a treat with you guys (and the dog biscuits went down a treat with your pups)!
We had a wonderful, sunny day, which is rare if you’re not familiar with British weather. We were worried that the sun-themed promotion was going to be ironic…
Our little orange shop was packed. We loved chatting with you about the brand and sharing photos of the company dogs.
Stanley was, as always, a hit!
Plenty of you took advantage of the 30% discount and treated yourself to A perfectly useless afternoon or Beam me up!
But we also had a lot of interest in our sample watches. If you didn’t know already, you can purchase sample versions of our watches at a discounted price in our shop all year round.

All in all, we had an absolutely lovely day in the sun, meeting some lovely people. What more could you ask for?! Thank you to everyone who came down, we really appreciate it.
