5 creative ways to spend your time indoors

Nov 20, 2020

As the days get shorter, the weather gets colder and this year finally draws to a close we are all spending more time indoors (well, we are in the UK anyway!)

2020 has certainly felt like the year of staying at home so we wanted to fill you with some last minute inspiration of ways to spend your time inside through the winter.

Start a podcast or blog

This year has definitely given us a lot to talk about. Have you thought about starting a blog or podcast? It can be a great way to express your interests and opinions whilst having a chat with new people.

We started our own podcast during lockdown whilst the team were working from home, it was a great way to get to know to our designers and create something fun for our audience.

Learn to play a musical instrument

If you’ve been putting off dusting your violin here’s your sign to do it! With extra time on our hands learning a new skill or perfecting an old one is a rewarding way to spend your time.

You could even set yourself the challenge of learning a piece of play to your family on Christmas Day (make sure everyone has had a few drinks first though!)

Write a book

This year has given us lots of time to think and now may finally be the right time to put your thoughts on paper in the form of a diary or book. Whether it’s stories from lockdown or how 2020 has changed your life, writing can be a great way to express thoughts whilst stuck inside.

Start your Christmas shopping early

With Christmas just around the corner why not take the opportunity to get organised with your gift giving.

Im sure many of us are feeling much more comfortable with shopping online this year but that doesn’t mean you can’t support your local businesses. Many are offering gift cards which are a great option to support your local business whilst staying at home.

With increased time in the house and many of us working from home we have all started to notice odd jobs around the home that are in need of attention.

Now may be the perfect time to fetch your overalls from the loft and give your work space a revamp, even a coat of paint and a couple of photos can give a room a whole new feel.

Decorating

This year has definitely been a challenging one but there have been some positives for all the extra time indoors.
